What our T Level students have to say
Many of our current and former T Level students have shared inspiring reflections:

“I really liked the flexibility of the T Level in comparison to the average route of A Levels and then onto university. I wanted to gain some experience in the workplace to see what I was getting myself into and the T Level provided me with those skills that I need to boost my career. It’s really helped me, so I’m really glad I chose this path.
“The placement at John Lewis Partnership helped me to understand expectations in an office and a professional environment. It was good to see the link between the work I was doing in the classroom compared to how it plays out in the office.
“I gained a lot of soft and hard skills for my CV including computer literacy and my presentation skills, confidence and professional etiquette have improved.
“I’ve been lucky enough to be offered a job in John Lewis Partnership in the finance head office which I started about two months ago and it’s going really well so far. My plan is to enrich my CV and experience further opportunities in John Lewis. It’s a really great place to work and start my career.
“The teams are all lovely and John Lewis really take care of their staff. There’s so many opportunities and experiences you can involve yourself in. I see myself working here for a long time. ”

“I chose to study a T Level because the work experience aspect drew me in. A lot of other courses don’t offer that. I thought it was a good way to get my foot in the door to see what the working world is like.
“It was nice break to go to John Lewis Partnership during the week. It was nice to be able to take what we’ve learnt at college and apply it in our work placement. The main thing it has done for me is helped me to mature and grow in professionalism.
“My job at the John Lewis Partnership is going really well. It’s a massive learning curve, a lot different to college. It’s a nice change. I’m settling in really well. Everyone has been really helpful, helping me to understand what I have to do and answering all the questions I have.”

“I would love to one day do social media marketing for a Formula 1 team. I would recommend college to others as I enjoyed my experience overall here. My second year tutor was fantastic – she had so much insight and knowledge which really helped when it came to the hands on aspect of our course. I can’t thank her enough for the effort she put in as it really had a huge impact on the outcome of this course.

“I enjoyed the course because it had the perfect balance of college and placement. I loved being able to connect what we learnt in lessons to real situations in schools and nurseries.
“The placements helped me build strong relationships with staff and children, and the experience has already been so beneficial when applying for jobs.
“I’m excited to take the next step towards becoming a primary school teacher and it feels like all the hard work over the last two years has set me up for this next chapter.
“Going into new placements was daunting at first, as I’m naturally quite shy and reserved. However, these experiences helped me build confidence and improve my communication skills. Combined with the support from my teachers, it turned out to be one of the most valuable parts of the course.”
“The T Level in Early Years and Education is great for anyone who learns best by doing as well as studying. The placement experience is so valuable. The college as a whole has brilliant resources, including a lovely library, great laptops in the classrooms, and we even have a nursery set up in our classroom to help us put theory into practice.”

“Throughout my studies, I particularly appreciated the clarity and professionalism of the teaching staff, who consistently provided well-structured explanations and interactive tasks that enhanced my understanding of the subject.
“I always felt supported. Whenever I needed further clarification, the lecturers were approachable and willing to help. The most challenging part of the course was preparing for the final exams. However, with the guidance and support of my teachers, I was able to succeed and achieve strong results.
“Currently, I work remotely in social media marketing, where I apply my business knowledge in a practical and creative way. In the near future, I plan to pursue a university degree in Finance to continue developing my skills and advance my career.”
