This course helps you to build your media knowledge through practical work and projects in preparation both for work and further study.

Study a range of media such as video, radio and print and learn skills in audio computer and animation technology on this one-year Diploma in Media.

This course is the UAL Level 2 Award and Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology.

This qualification is delivered by an experienced, specialist team in a range of outstanding facilities for those looking for a career in creative media production. From specialist cameras to green screens, studio spaces, and specialist IT facilities offering real potential for film makers, producers and aspiring directors, this study programme has it all!

This study programme is perfect for those first steps into social media and video production with a view to progressing onto the Level 3 creative media production courses within Activate and eventually, the media industries.

GCSE Maths and GCSE English completes this programme offering students a second chance to get those valuable qualifications with a one-year programme, our creative media production courses offer students the skills development and access to the facilities necessary to progress into a rich and varied media industry.

You will learn a range of skills that will help you to undertake research projects give presentations interview people, question members of the public, complete production paperwork, organise productions, work as part of a production team, write reports and take notes in class and on visits.

To complete this course you will be required to use a variety of skills working both in groups and individually. The course is 100% coursework based featuring both written and practical assignments. Written assignments include a study of media jobs, an analysis of factual production in the media, a study of a wide range of print techniques, writing a script for a film and an analysis of film audiences.
