“I would also like to thank the fantastic team of teachers, support staff and managers who have nurtured our learners through their studies. Their hard work and dedication to our Learning Philosophy enables our learners to succeed and grow.

“There will be students across the country who have not achieved their desired outcomes and feel disappointed, but I urge these individuals to use this feeling as motivation to keep working hard, and to be open to new opportunities to develop and learn.”

James said: “I’m really pleased with what I got, and I feel relieved to be honest. I did expect the grades as I’d worked hard.”

“I want to thank my teachers very much, I really appreciate them, and they’ve all been very helpful, especially my Chemistry teachers, Sumaira and Arthur, and my Maths teacher, Seyed.”

“College was a really good experience, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t really like secondary school that much, but I really enjoyed college.”

“I needed BBC for Oxford Brookes University and with the better grades, I may reapply next year to Cardiff University as I have the grades now too, but I haven’t decided yet.

“I loved being at college and would recommend it to other people. The transition from school to college was great, you’re treated like an adult, and you’ve got more freedom over what you’re doing.

“Psychology was my favourite subject, I found it really interesting. My teachers were all really lovely and supportive. I have communication needs, and they were all really helpful and understanding and adapted the way they were teaching to help me.”

Armin Csizmadia achieved 3 A grades in Art and Design, Media and Psychology. He will now take up an offer from the University of Reading where he will study a Double Major Art and Psychology programme.

Armin said: “I got A grades! I was amazed, especially with the media grade, as I’d been unwell during the exam. I’m really looking forward to university now.”

“Psychology was the subject I found most interesting, and I really liked it. Art was my favourite subject because of my amazing teacher, Aimee, and all I achieved this year; it holds a special place in my heart.

“I would like to thank Aimee for her honesty and straightforward communication style and for supporting me to achieve the grades I needed. She made art a really happy subject.

“I’d recommend City of Oxford College and University Centre as the top college for art, as there are amazing opportunities, you can do everything there. There are amazing studios, cameras and teachers.”
