In a virtual session called ‘In a conversation with Jessie Hart’, students had the opportunity to ask the celebrated actress questions about her career and lifestyle.
Jessie Hart trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and graduated in 2014 with a BA (Hons) degree in musical theatre. She’s has appeared as Victoria Farrow and Pippa Walker in Doctors (BBC), Agnes in Arthur and George (ITV) and Denise Naslund in Serial Killer (Investigation Discovery/October Films).
In addition to her television appearances, Jessie has played Baby in Dirty Dancing at the Birmingham Hippodrome. Most recently, she has been playing first cover Eponine/Ensemble in Les Misérables – first in the UK/Ireland tour and then in the West End production at the Sondheim Theatre.
Catalina Marin, Director of Delivery for the Creative Industries faculty at Activate Learning, said: “Jessie was very approachable and spoke about her time in college, how to prepare for an audition and what a day of rehearsals is like among many other interesting topics.
“72 students attended the online session across all campuses from Banbury and Bicester College to Guilford College and asked really interesting questions. We are planning to have some face-to-face sessions in the coming year as well! She is very excited to continue to work with our students and so are we.”
Students from City of Oxford College, added: “It was good to have a chance to see someone from industry take time to speak to us, it was so interesting and makes the possibilities after college more real!”
