This is a practical and theory work-related course.
You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities. You develop the skills you need to start or progress a career in travel and tourism.
The qualification will provide you with the equivalent of A or AS Levels.
What you'll learn
The course includes a number of trips and visits, together with industry guest speakers, to make learning fun and relevant.
Over the two years, you will cover 18 units (9 per year), which will enable you to develop the skills and qualities you need for work and explore the opportunities offered in this exciting industry.

How you'll learn and be assessed
This qualification is assessed through assignment work spread over the course to provide a clear indication of the candidate’s knowledge and abilities. There are no exams. The types of assessments used are:
- Written assignments
- Case studies
- Roleplay
- Presentations
Progression
On successful completion of this course, you could enter employment within the travel and tourism or related industries, or you could progress to university.

Entry requirements
You need to have 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths, or the successful completion of a Level 2 Travel and Tourism qualification at grade Merit or above.
